Embracing Popcorn Day!
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android
Embracing Popcorn day is a game that's heavily inspired by Celebrating Popcorn by Google Doodle (Original Game).
Embracing Popcorn Day offers a short, but fun and challenging gameplay experience.
This game consists of the 4 bosses of the original Google Doodle (Butter, Salt Shaker, Fire and Magnetron), but reworked to be more challenging than the original bosses!
This is a single-player game, and it's focus orientates more towards progress rather than last-one-standing competition, which means beating bosses is now the main form of progression, instead of being obstacles to push the most experienced player to be the last standing. This reimagine in goal, combined with the increased difficulty, makes it so that if you die to a boss, you are be able to retry that same boss, this until you beat it, and advance to the next boss.
(Be Aware Progress Won't Save After Quitting!)
The rework in gameplay also brings new additions and changes. More specifically, this game removed the Brute Kernel, replacing it with the Dasher Kernel, and it brought the new additions of Charms, which gives you abilities that can have varying impacts on boss fights, depending on your Charm, Kernel and Skill.
Overall, Embracing Popcorn Day isn't an objectively worse or better game than Celebrating Popcorn, as it is just a reimagine and a game with a slightly different formula.
Though this game is made by one person (excluding music and SFX), I'm sure it won't disappoint! So what are you waiting? Prove yourself as worthy of Embracing Popcorn Day!
